House on the web. Terlingua House is a 4-room, 2-bath adobe styled
property located 2 miles west of Terlingua, Texas between Big Bend
National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park.
Terlingua
House consists of three bedrooms and a complete kitchen. One of the bedrooms is equipped with queen-size bed and two full-size beds. One has a king-sized bed and a futon, and the other has two double beds.
The “Studio” has two double beds and a sitting area. The Studio is the “honeymoon suite”
of the property with a beautiful view looking onto the Chisos Mountains
of Big Bend National Park.
The "Fairfax" room consists of a queen-sized bed and two full beds. This room has a sitting area with a loveseat and several chairs to enjoy getting away from it all, but with all the comforts of home. This room shares a bathroom with the Studio.
The "Gin" room, across from the kitchen, has a beautiful king-sized bed and futon, as well as two very comfortable chairs for relaxing in and taking in the amazing artwork. There is also a desk that doubles as a makeup table with lighted mirror. The Gin room has a large attached bathroom. The fourth room is the kitchen with a built in daybed on one end.
Terlingua House has a very
quiet, secluded feeling for one couple, while still being only minutes
away from the best restaurants and local activities. It is equally
comfortable for two or three couples.
Although normal occupancy
is two to six people, for families, extended families or small groups,
Terlingua House is great. Terlingua House can easily sleep up to eight.
Up to six people is preferred.
The
kitchen is complete with refrigerator, outside gas grill, deep freeze,
stove, microwave, dishes and silverware. We also have installed a dishwasher and new front loading washer and dryer. Complete linens and towels
are also provided.
The property
surrounding Terlingua House consists of 15 acres, including a great
lookout point and a section of Long Draw running across one side of
the property. It is easily accessible and easy to find along the River
Road (TX 170).
The night sky is absolutely
gorgeous, almost as nice as sunrise over the Chisos Mountains. You
will find a telescope on location to enhance these spectacular views,
but don't forget your binoculars.
Pricing (Includes all 3 bedrooms, kitchen, decks and 15 acres):
Pricing is based on two factors: (1) occupancy - how many of you there are; and (2) season - the time of year. For 6 or more people during high season this runs about $74 per person per night before taxes. For 4 people it is approximately $111 per person per night. Please see specials below for discounted pricing.
The base price for Terlingua House is $375/night with a two-night minimum for up to 6 people. For groups over 6 add $50 per night for each additional person 10 years old and older. There is an additional one time cleaning and restocking fee of $100 up to 6 plus $15 for each additional occupant. This includes all three bedrooms and the kitchen. Chili Cookoff week (first week in November) is $425/night base price with a 5-night minimum. This is approximately $78 per person per night for 6 before taxes. Sorry, no pets, horses, firearms or ATV's.
Specials:
One Free Night:
In January, after the New Year's Holiday, February, May, June, July & September with every two-night rental, you get one night free. This equates to about $50 per person per night for groups of 6 or more and about $74 per person per night for 4 people - all before taxes.
Two Free Nights:
In August, and the first two weeks of December (after Thanksgiving) for every two nights you rent, you get two nights free. For 6 or more this is about $37/person per night. For 4 people it is under $55/person per night, again all before taxes.
